I am a student from abroad and would like to study in the programme for one or two semesters. What do I have to do? Whom do I have to contact?

First of all, you should contact the Academic Cooperation/Students Exchange Department of St. Petersburg State University and ask for the documents to hand in to get an official invitation to Russia (you need this invitation to apply for a Russian visa).

In addition, please contact the Head of our Programme. Write us, where (from which university in which country) you come from and how long you would like to stay.

Please note: There is a difference in the enrollment procedure for exchange students (coming for one or two semesters) and foreign students who would like to study the whole programme. Some procedures might take some months. It is therefore better to decide from the beginning if you want to come as a guest or for the whole programme.

Russian bureaucracy can take some time, and not all letters sent to the Students Exchange Department are answered immediately. You should therefore start with your preparation as soon as possible.

The winter term starts on September 1th and finishes on January, 31st. The summer term starts on February, 1st and finishes on June, 30th.
