What I studied before MA SES: University Degree in Linguistics
Why I study in the MA SES programme: There are several reasons why I would love to complete Master's program in "Studies in European Societies" at St. Petersburg State University. In Novgorod State University, I studied cross-cultural communication from the linguistics point of view. The "Studies in European Societies" Master's program would give me a good opportunity to study intercultural relations from the sociological perspective, which would contribute greatly to my current knowledge of various cultures and societies.
Also, I believe that knowledge of political, economical and social spheres of European life is of current importance since Russia (the North-West of Russia in particular) has recently started to build long-term international relations with many European nations.
